“Run” is unlike any tracks I’ve heard by The Knux, but they keep the party going. It has a very pop vibe to it, unlike their usual De La Soul-style hip hop and indie tracks. Kid Cudi throws in a rhyme or two, and sings a hook with a very strange accent (is he trying to sound Jamaican?).
Big Sean has been climbing the hip hop ranks lately, especially after playing an insane amount of sets at this year’s South By Southwest music festival. And it doesn’t hurt to be on Kanye West’s label, G.O.O.D. Music.
“What Goes Around” is a great summer jam, chilled out with some slick rhymes.
His debut, Finally Famous, is due out June 28, and is supposed to feature Pharrell Williams, Kanye West, Kid Cudi, Wiz Khalifa, Game, Chiddy Bang, Eminem, Mike Posner and many more. Not bad for a start.
This is that Kid Cudi track we’ve all been waiting for. One that takes the awkward, insecure Scott Mescudi and gets an injection of Kanye West cockiness and swagger. If you were wondering about the track title, apparently Cudi threw down the verses for a project Chad Hugo (of The Neptunes and N.E.R.D.) and Kenna were working on for a Street Fighter game.
If this is what we should expect from a Kid Cudi that doesn’t smoke weed, let’s keep him sober.
One of our favorite cuts from Kanye’s amazing new album, “All Of The Lights” sure got an insane video. The flashing lights and colors are sure to give you a seizure, so BE WARNED. (We’re not kidding) Oh, and what the hell is Rihanna wearing? Talk about side boob. And Kid Cudi is there too!
An earlier version of this Kanye West track leaked out on the net a few months ago, but it was full of tags and wasn’t quite finished. But we’ve got the album version, and just had to post it since it’s one of our favorite cuts on Kanye’s phenomenal My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
It also features more artists than a friggin’ “We Are The World” recording. John Legend, The-Dream, Ryan Leslie, Tony Williams, Charlie Wilson, Elly Jackson, Alicia Keys, Fergie, KiD CuDi, Rihanna & Elton John all got in on the action.
